Kelly Wang
Creative / Music Therapy

I’m a Creative / Music Therapist based in Central and East London.

My practice offers a calm, creative space where you can slow down, reflect, and be heard.

Whether you’re struggling, adjusting, or simply wanting to understand yourself better — this is a place for you to come as you are, whether we meet in person or online.

About Me

Therapy Approach

I’m a Taiwanese-born, Canada-raised Music Therapist, working from a psychodynamic approach.

We can simply talk, or use creative ways to explore and express what words can’t — through music improvisation, songwriting, drawing, or mindfulness exercises.

I aim to create a safe, grounded, and non-judgmental space where you can bring whatever you’re feeling — big or small.

Creativity here isn’t about doing it “right,” but about expression, exploration, and connection.

Sometimes, a simple rhythm or a few lines on paper can be the beginning of understanding yourself.

Areas of Focus

I support people navigating a wide range of experiences, including:

  • Identity, self-awareness, and confidence-building

  • Living across cultures / adapting to a new city (third-culture experience)

  • Trauma and recovery

  • Religion and spirituality struggles

  • LGBTQ+ experiences

  • Anxiety, depression, and low mood

  • Family and relationship challenges

  • Emotional, Cognitive, Social, and Behavioural development for neurodivergent children

  • Creative professionals seeking reflection and growth

I am a Music Therapist working from a psychodynamic approach, with a background as a Behaviour Interventionist using ABA (Applied Behaviour Analysis).

I have over 10 years of experience supporting neurodivergent individuals (including Autism, ADHD, ODD, and Down Syndrome), as well as people living with psychosis, OCD, and bipolar disorder.

My work spans across NHS community and inpatient settings, special education and secondary schools, consultancy, and charity organizations.
